This place was great, they had a great drink menu and the food menu to compliment it. The Teppanyaki was amazing (highly recommended) as well as the Fuji’s Dinner Specials! A must try restaurant!

    Excellent food and Cocktails.
An excellent selection of choice sandwiches and specialty cocktails. Nice relaxing atmosphere, friendly service. Recommended food.. (Flat-Iron Steak, Vegetable Tempura and all kind of Sushi).

My husband and I went here for my first time, his second, for our anniversary. We got there early, about 5:30, and it was pretty empty. We got the tempenyaki (no idea how to spell it). They subbed tofu for meat with no problems at all (vegetarian). The food was excellent, our cook put on a good show, reasonable prices. I guess my only complaint is that the miso soup has crab in it. I have never been anywhere where there was some sort of meat or fish in the miso. Kind of a bummer as I love miso soup but could not eat it because of the crab. Everything else was wonderful. Looking forward to going back again!

Really one of the best places for sushi

I’ve been eating at Fuji’s for a long time. Their food is always TOP quality, great sashimi, rolls, and family flat grill shows. Try the tenderloin, it’s awesome. But I go there for the sushi. Wonderful sauces, interesting sushi rolls. Never been let down. Also, and this is important to any restaurant, the wait staff is always right on target. Helpful, but not bothersome. Try the crunchy tuna roll, or the sunnyside roll.

The only thing that bugs me sometimes is that they close between 3pm and 5pm M-Th and don’t open until 2pm on Saturdays. They miss the entire lunch crowd from 11am till 2pm. And don’t tell me it’s to early to eat sushi, I could eat sushi for breakfast.

They have a long conveyor belt with seating for about 20 people plus 4 or 5 booths next to the conveyor belt. Best fast food anywhere :) Plus 5 flat grills that seat about 12 people ea.

One other thing missing is the banter from the sushi chefs. They will talk to you but they are usually pretty busy working. Okay I guess…. keep up the great work :)

Pros: excellent sushi and flat grill foods
    Cons: odd hours

Sexy lighting with well informed and attenitive staff. The sushi was great and the water cold and glass was always kept full.

The sushi is great and they will make your rolls to order if you dont think the turn around is fresh enough (unless it is tempura it is definitely fresh) The grill food is always great and the portions are more than most people can eat.
It can be a little onthe expensive side but their daily happy hour is 20% off.

We went for my 27th birthday. Had great fun, and the food was really good! First time going there, but won’t be my last.

I have had sushi there for few years now and it’s one of the best places. The sushi is always fresh and they have great special sauce that goes great with it. I knew the original owner and it’s a great place to have sushi.

Fujis is a great sushi place I have ever been to. The only thing is, is its so crowded. Thats about the only con I have to say about this place. The sushi there was very delicious. I don’t know what people are talking about when they say it was horrible or, something was raw, usually sushi is raw. Besides that I really love it and i’m a kid. You don’t get a kid to like sushi that often. Well The sushi was fantastic, and it always makes me feel like i’m not too full and i’m not to hungry, when I leave. I feel just right. I give fuji’s a thumbs up!! Check out there dish the yum yummy its very good!!!

With all the reviews on Sushi it is hard to tell they have a wonderful japenese steak house. I took my office there for our holiday dinner. We had a blast it was a dinner show and wonderful all in one. If you have not tried their tapenyaki (sp?) it is wonderful!

The Best Fresh Sushi!: The service was great, very friendly and entertaining! they have a sushi belt or you can request any type and they make it right up for you! ORRRR, you can sit down at a grill table where they grill your food up right in front of you! All the food I’ve ever had there is always fresh and delicious!

It’s been years that I’ve had sushi and just hated! People were telling me I just never had good sushi. Well they were right, I went to fuji’s and tried sushi and now I’m addicted to their sushi no joke lol! Now I just love sushi and my family thinks it funny bc they knew how much I hated sushi! I got my 10 year old son into their sushi too, and you know how kids are very picky with food. Very excellent and fresh sushi. Could ever have. It is a little on the expensive side but totally worth it!! I just wish they went closed from 3-5! But great service and excellent sushi for any sushi lovers!!

Hi….we are from Wisconsin and visit Portland often because our son and daughter both live there. They took us to Fuji’s the very first time we visited and fell in love with your restaurant and the amazing food. Being from Wisconsin, we had not had sushi before! There is one place near us, that serves sushi, but no where near the quality of your seafood. Fuji’s is our favorite spot and there have been times when we have gone there twice in one day. Our grandchildren always choose your restaurant over McDonald’s!!!!!! We have also brought our whole family of 12 there to eat at night for the hibachi cooked food. Excellent! My question is: what is the Fuji sauce?? It really compliments the sushi and I love it. Do you make it?? Could you tell me what is in it????!! I would love to eat it on shrimp when I cook it at home.
I also LOVE the fact that Fuji’s does NOT smell fishy at all, which any other place that serves suhi does. Thank you for that, because that indicates cleanliness which I totally appreciate. Thank you and we will see you soon!!!!!!!!!! Keep up the great work
